Materials Laboratory

The Materials Laboratory is equipped to conduct tests on a variety of construction-related materials including soils, aggregates, asphalt binders and mixes, portland cement concrete and composites. The facility is located in three separate laboratories totaling approximately 7,500 sq. ft. In addition to conducting research for the transportation agencies, industries and consulting firms, the Materials Laboratory works in concert with the structures, construction and environmental engineering groups to provide testing in support of their research activities.
