| Interests and Research: |
| Professor Gupta’s research program is in the area of Timber
Engineering and Mechanics. It focuses on intelligent and efficient
use of wood in structural application. The major goal is to develop
advanced testing, modeling, and analysis techniques to design efficient
and safe wood structures. Current research projects include, load
distribution/sharing in structural wood sheathing and gypsum wall
board in a shear wall assembly, influence of plate washer size on
cyclic performance of shear walls, seismic performance of wood structures,
and mechanical behavior/properties of wood. |
