MAY 28, Thursday – CE vs. CEM Annual BBQ/Softball Game, in the field behind the Women's Building and Fairbanks Hall. Barbecue begins at 3:30; teacher of the year award presentation at 4:15; ballgame at 4:30. Please bring any softball gear you have: bats, gloves, etc. (if you don't have equipment there should still be enough for those on the field). Food and drinks provided by AGC and ASCE student chapters. Come and enjoy the nice weather and some free food! Everyone is welcome!
MAY 29, Friday – CCE School Meeting, for all faculty and staff. 311 Kearney Hall, 12-1:30 pm.

GOOD LUCK to our OSU/NECA Student Chapter team, participating in the first International NECA Student Chapter Competition, The Green Energy Challenge. Our CEM juniors will compete among eight teams and have selected a retrofit of the current electrical system at Jefferson High School as their team project.

CONGRATULATIONS ARE IN ORDER! Kate Hunter-Zaworski and Jan Strombeck were both inducted in The 25 Year Club, honoring those who have provided 25 years of employment service at OSU.
AND MORE CONGRATULATIONS to Mick Haller, who was recently promoted to Associate Professor with tenure, and to Dan Cox and Chris Higgins, both promoted to Full Professor.
DON’T SIT DOWN, CONGRATULATIONS to CE senior Alison Tanaka on being named "Greek Woman of the Year" at the recent Greek Awards Banquet.

FINALS WEEK PREP - The Academic Success Center has peer coaches who can work individually with students to create individualized study plans for finals week, help manage the time leading up to exams, and strengthen in test preparation and test taking. INFORMATION MEETING - ELECTRICAL CONTRACTING INTERNSHIPS:
MAY 27, Wednesday - National Electrical Association of America (NECA) Information Night, 212 Kearney Hall, 6:00 pm. Pizza and sodas provided. Several electrical companies, including Christenson Electric, Dynalectric, Oregon Electric Group and McKinstry Electric, will present information about the electrical contracting industry and summer internship opportunities.
Internship Interviews will be held on Thursday, May 28. You may sign up for an interview with Jan in 220 Owen. If there are interview appointments remaining, the sign-up sheets will also be available at the information meeting on Wednesday, May 27.
