MAR 3, Tuesday - STUDY ABROAD SCHOLARSHIP Information Session for students going abroad in Summer and/or Fall 2009, 448 Snell Hall, 4-5pm

MAR 4, Wednesday - LIQUID ASSETS: The Story of Our Water Infrastructure. ASCE Student Chapter hosts screening of public television documentary, 112 Kearney Hall, 6:30pm. Free and open to the public. Read more. . .

MAR 5, Thursday – BASKETBALL. CE Students (undergrad) vs. Faculty (staff, faculty, and grad students) at 6pm in the Dixon Upper Courts. Faculty team roster includes: Lehrman, Oshnack, Batti, Warren, Gambatese, Miller and more!  Be there! If you have questions, contact Erika McQuillen, ASCE Co-Social Chair.

CONGRATULATIONS to PROF. CHRIS HIGGINS, who was featured in the March issue of Popular Mechanics in the article, “This Is My Job”. Read the article here . . .

SENIORS wishing to graduate must apply to the Registrar’s Office before Friday, April 10.

ASCE CAREER CONNECTIONS - A great resource in the job hunt for ASCE members. Post resumes and search for jobs. The job market is tight, so take advantage of this free service from ASCE. Check it out, http://careers.asce.org/search.cfm.

CH2M-Hill/OSU HOLLY CORNELL MODEL BRIDGE CONTEST – Ten area high schools participated in this annual competition in Owen Hall, testing 149 bridges. The most efficient bridge carried more than 3200 times its own weight of about 16 g, and all of the top 20 bridges tested carried at least 1900 times their own weight!  Thanks to all our volunteers for a busy Saturday. MAR 5, Thursday – ACSM Speaker Meeting. Ray Wilson, Benton County Surveyor, will give a presentation from the County website about what functions his office maintains for the general public and what records are available for surveyors and engineers. 110 Owen Hall, 5pm.

MAR 3, Tuesday - CP Construction LLC  (Oakland, OR) will interview for CEM or CE undergraduates for a full-time Project Engineer position and summer internship positions. CP Construction is a leading heavy-civil contractor in Oregon.
