DEC. 9-11 – Traffic Engineering Fundamentals workshop, LaSells Stewart Center. Pre-registration required.

DEC. 15, Monday – CCE Annual Holiday Potluck for faculty and staff, Owen Atrium, 1-3:00 pm.

DEC. 22- Jan 9 -- Free parking in all student/visitor lots.

DEC. 24-26 – Christmas. CCE offices closed.

JAN. 1 – Happy New Year! All OSU offices closed.

DEC. 10 , Wednesday – “Image Rectification Tool for Evaluation of Gusset Plate Connections in Steel Truss Bridges” thesis defense, presented by Quang Nguyen for a Masters of Science degree. 320 Owen Hall, 2:00. Advisor: Prof. Chris Higgins.

JAN STROMBECK is resting comfortably at home after a successful surgery last week. We hope to see Jan’s smiling face back in Owen Hall before the New Year.

KEARNEY HALL UPDATE – furniture for classrooms and offices scheduled for installation December 15. CEM faculty, CCE accounting, the Kiewit Center, Cindy and Kathy will begin moving their offices the following week.

COE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION is now available and EVERYONE should apply. Applications are due by February 1, 2009. A nice winter break project to work on!
