MAY 14, Wednesday - presentation by Wei Guo (PhD candidate, Carnegie Mellon University), candidate for CCE Sustainability faculty position, 320 Owen Hall, 10:00 am. All faculty, staff and students are encouraged to attend.

MAY 15, Thursday - presentation by Dr. Lei Zhao (University of Central Florida), candidate for CCE Innovative Materials faculty position, 320 Owen Hall, 9:00 am. All faculty, staff and students are encouraged to attend.

CONGRATUATIONS to CEM junior Kyle Bressler who added another academic honor after being named to the 2007-08 National Wrestling Coaches Association All-Academic Team. Read more. . .

CONGRATULATIONS to our BRIDGE SEISMIC DESIGN TEAM who have been invited to participate in the National Seismic Conference in Charleston, South Carolina in July. Testing of their structure will be performed during the conference and design teams will present a paper explaining their design in a special session. Winners will be announced at the conference’s award ceremony.

AGC STUDENT CHAPTER 23nd ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT - Friday, May 23, 2008 at Trysting Tree Golf Course. Student cost: $30, includes 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch and awards. Sign-up early and you may be sponsored by a contractor attending the tournament. Register your foursome with Jan Strombeck in 220 Owen. Deadline to register is Monday, May 19, 2008. PLSO STUDENT APPRECIATION NIGHT (5/21/08). The Willamette Branch of Professional Land Surveyors of Oregon has a speaker and a free dinner for students interested in surveying. Students must pre-register before May 15, 2008 to attend this free dinner event. Equipment demonstrations by TOPCON and TDS.

 

 

ENGINEERING EXPO was a great success. Thanks to all who volunteered and hosted displays.
