OCTOBER 18, Thursday - Scholars/Donors Recognition Dinner, honoring our scholarship recipients, and the donors and sponsors of the awards. CH2M-HILL Alumni Center, 6:30 reception - 7:00 dinner.  Questions or to register guests?  See Jan, 220 Owen.   

OCTOBER 19, Friday – CE and CEM Seniors graduation photos taken in 320 Owen Hall – Sign up with Cindy, 220 Owen, for appointment time.

ALUMNUS DICK FOSBURY, BSCE ’72, was named President of the World Olympians Association, announced Saturday by the US Olympic Committee. Dick was a former Oregon State track and field athlete and 1968 high jump Olympic gold medalist. Read more. . .

OCTOBER 16, Tuesday – AGC Student Chapter Speaker Meeting, 103 Owen, 6:00 pm, Knife River Southern Oregon.  Topic:  Klamath Falls 800,000 CY Excavation Project.  Dinner and soft drinks provided.

OCTOBER 17, Wednesday – ITE Speaker Meeting, 106 Owen, 6:00 pm, DKS & Associates.  Free food and beverage.

OCTOBER 19, Friday – Engineers without Borders Benefit Banquet. MU Ballroom, 6:00 pm. Tickets $50/plate or $500/table. Contact Bradley Eagleson (osu.ewb@gmail.com)

OCTOBER 19, Friday - ASCE Host-A-Student dinner, held at OIT. The event will be attended by civil engineering students from OIT, UP, PSU, and OSU. This is a great opportunity to network with professionals in the engineering field. The cost of this event is FREE for all civil engineering students; everything will be covered by our OSU ASCE chapter. Sign up with Cindy Olson in 220 Owen Hall. The last day to sign up is Wednesday, October 10. We will leave Corvallis at 1:00 on Friday and return the following afternoon. The dinner speaker is Patrick Manly who will speak about Engineering in Sudan.
