JULY 2 – START session for first-year students in 241 Owen Computer Lab.

JULY 4 - Independence Day – honors the birthday of the United States of America and the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. University closed.

JULY 3-4 - Red White & Blues Riverfront Festival, Corvallis. Parade, 5-k run/walk, free music.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held for Maj. Gregory Young on Thursday, July 5, at 11:00 in the St. Helens High School gymnasium. Maj. Young, an OSU AFROTC and BSCE 1996 alumnus, was killed in an F-15 training accident last week.

DERRYL JAMES (BSCE 1999) returns from Afghanistan, where he provided security for military convoys between bases. Welcome home Derryl!
