All costs associated with the Orlando trip were covered by Mr. Frank Wall, Executive Director, Portland MCAA Chapter. (Mechanical team costs for the Reno competition in early February were covered by Temp-Control Mechanical in Portland.) MCAA convention summary here.
MORE ACCOLOADES – to our own Professor Greg Baker, recipient of the 2006 Educator of the Year Award at the MCAA annual convention in Orlando, FL. Greg's unwavering support of our students is a true reflection of this honor. Read the press release.
STUDENTS SNAP FACULTY WIN STREAK 48-39 - The CCEE faculty team of Professors Cox, Haller, Miller and Scott, with excellent support from a very strong group of graduate students kept the game close for the first half before the students pulled away late in the game. The students played a fast, aggressive game with good shooting both inside and outside. Scoring was recorded by Angela Rogge, with no obvious bias towards either the students or faculty. This puts the series at 2-1, with the faculty leading the students. (Wait till next year!)
