If you remember your password and want to change it anyway - you can log in to the account maintenance system from any web browser.
Password Policy
Passwords are governed by the following policies that are automatically enforced at the time the account is setup or an attempt
is made to change the password:
-
No control characters like; [Ctrl], [Alt].
-
The password has to be at least 6 characters long.
-
It must include letters and something else, like numbers or punctuation.
-
However, it can’t just be letters followed by numbers or numbers followed by letters.
-
It can’t include @ or #.
-
It shouldn't be based on a single word, even if from a language other than English. Replacing letters with numbers is not good enough.
Last we run it through a quick password cracker to insure it’s secure.
IMPORTANT FACTS
About The Engineering Account Servers
- RACK and FARM are the names of the CoE servers that contain your email and your Windows desktop configuration.
- Your home area is assigned driver letter "Z" when you login in to any College of Engineering NT workstation.
